PLANA S, MARIBOR: HOW TO EQUIP A WAREHOUSE IN THE SHORTEST TIME
Details
When the criterion for winning a job is your response speed and ability to address a task quickly, you know it’s a significant challenge. You must get to know the client, understand their needs, initiate a complex process, and deliver the job under particularly challenging conditions.
In the INPUT client portfolio, the Slovenian company Plana S d.o.o. and the project we carried out for them in Slovenia are examples of how a project can be completed quickly, without compromising quality and safety.
Plana S from Maribor manufactures plastic products for homes, gardens, and pets. Through speed and flexibility, they have earned their reputation as a reliable partner in the European market. The company’s dynamic and fast-paced operations dictated that the service of equipping the new warehouse also be completed rapidly. An additional challenge was a recent fire, the consequences of which threatened to disrupt the company’s operations, making our response urgent.
How we responded to the request
Before the actual warehouse implementation, the challenge was the leveling of uneven terrain where the tents for the warehouse were to be placed. Once the leveling phase was completed, equipment from the renowned Italian supplier ROSSS from Scarperia was installed and anchored in the 1320-pallet capacity tent. As our reliable partner and one of the largest suppliers, ROSSS provided the pallet racking system for the Plana S Maribor project. The selected model is the Iron Fist system, designed for the storage of bulky goods with maximum capacity and stability, featuring the following technical specifications:
- Pallet racking in three levels, each 1,800 mm high
- Frame capacity: 12,900 kg
- Beam pair capacity: 1,500 kg
- Steel construction with powder coating
For its new warehouse, the client received an easily adaptable, fully modular solution capable of supporting various business needs.
The final phase of the project, carried out according to EU standards EN 15512 and EN 15620, was the safety check.
Thanks to this project, Plana S from Maribor can now meet its customers' growing demands while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. By investing in a modern warehouse system, the company strengthens its position in its dynamic market. For us at INPUT, this is the ultimate satisfaction and the reason we do what we do.
